BREAKING:Delta House of Assembly Speaker impeached

Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Mr. Monday Igbuya, has been impeached in the early hours of today Thursday 11 May, 2017, during an emergency session of the House.
Mr. Igbuya representing Sapele constituency, was immediately replaced with the lawmaker representing, Okpe constituency, Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori as the new speaker.

It was reliably gathered by C&P News that Igbuya’s impeachment which was incubated late yesterday night and was hatched early this morning and was signed by 22 out of the 29 members of the House.
Friday Osanebi remains as Deputy Speaker. Justin Erijo replaces Tim Owhefere, representing Isoko North as Majority Leader.

Sheriff, has already been introduced to the Governor as the new Speaker. Inside sources gave C&P News that high handedness, incompetence and bad leadership was the reasons for his impeachment.
About three months ago, the second attempt at removing Igbuya which was attended by key players of the house in the United States of America failed due to the intervention of some key Igbuya supporters like Timi Toye representing Patani constituency in the house.

Igbuya’s problem in the house started barely three months into his tenure when moves were made to install Erhiatake Ibori, daughter of former governor of the state, James Ononafe Ibori, recently released from a British jail where he served a sentence for money laundering.

A public affairs analyst disclosed that the instability that has rocked the Delta State House of Assembly leadership from the inception of the third Republic was due to what he described as “The perpetual struggle for ascendancy each time leadership is entrusted to the various contending senatorial zones in the state,” stating further that Sheriff may also not be spared the same fate.
A reliable source inside the state assembly said that most often, attempts to remove some past speakers of the house had always been planned abroad far from compromising interlopers. He cited the case of the removal of Igbrude that took place in faraway Bangladesh during the commonwealth parliamentary conference hosted by that nation and the removal of former speaker Victor Ochei which was allegedly plotted in Trinidad and Tobago.
As at press time there were unconfirmed reports of jubilation in Sapele over the removal of the speaker and an alleged high wire horse trading going on to return the removed speaker.
